Biography "Raised to the Ground" by Sky Rats is a grit filled rock album with hints of ska here and there. It features Rob Thomas meets Dave Grohl type vocals, a tight rhythm section and catchy melodies. The songwriting provides relevant lyrics and memorable choruses. This is a radio-ready, totally professional CD, in terms of both the tight sound of this talented band, and the high quality production on the CD. Highlights of this album are "Don't Look Now," a big rocker with a driving chorus - a definite pit starter. "Get it All" has a real catchy chorus and is more toward the "Mod" sound. "Out of my Depth" pumps with a cool bass line and sinister vocals. If you like Foo Fighters and Mighty Mighty Bosstones you will enjoy this one. William and the RadioIndy.com Reviewer Team |
